1. How do I hold a booking?
   

2. To hold the booking a 50% deposit is required within 28 days of confirmation.
   

1. What if I need to cancel?
   

2. This deposit is 50% refundable upon cancellation if more than 3 months before the wedding and any expenses incurred by Karla before the cancellation will also be recovered from the deposit. The deposit is in no part refundable if cancelled less than 3 months before the wedding.
   

1. Will Travel be Included in the quote?
   

2. Yes, all of the travel arrangements are included in your quote. However, all of the quotes shown on the website are based in London. Please contact Karla for a quote specific to your area which will include a relevant but nominal fee for travel.
   

1. What if I need to change my Wedding Day?
   

2. The change of ceremony date will be considered a cancellation, unless Karla is also available for the altered date
   

1. What happens if the Photographer cancels?
   

2. The holding deposit will be 100% refunded in the unlikely event of Karla making the cancellation - Up to 72 hours before your ceremony.
   

1. What happens if the Photographer is sick on the day?
   

2. If Karla is unable to make your day and it is within 72 hours before your ceremony, she will provide details and recommendations of other photographers with a similar style and price.
   

1. When is the remaining 50% due?
   

2. The remaining 50% will be due 1 week prior to your day - an invoice will be sent 2 weeks before when contact is made to reconfirm all details.
   

1. Our Day has a theme. Will the Photographer participate with dressing up?
   

2. Karla is more than willing to mix in with the guests and will be happy to have this as an excuse to dress up.
   

1. Who owns the copyright?
   

2. Karla grants you a license to make endless prints with your photos. Karla is also happy for you to pass your images amongst your family and friends. However your images cannot be passed to a commercial third party ie magazines, stock companies etc without prior written consent from the Photographer. Under UK law, the Photographer owns the copyright of any image made by them but this will not affect your own enjoyment of them - it just prohibits a third party from making money from them.

1. Before the day
   

1. Can we meet the Photographer before?
   

2. Yes, you can. Please email Karla - info@karlagowlett.co.uk - and she will be happy to arrange a slideshow and album viewing over a coffee in London. Unfortunately, due to her schedule, it would be unlikely that a visit outside of London will be possible. In this case please request an information pack.
   

1. Does the Photographer visit the Venue beforehand?
   

2. Yes, Karla will make sure that she visits the venue of your Wedding prior to the date. This enables her to be aware of the visual strengths and weaknesses of each venue. If the venue is outside of London, Karla will contact the venue for images and with any questions regarding accessibility.
   

1. Can I still contact the Photographer if I have any other questions?
   

2. Yes, Karla will be happy to answer or confirm any questions you may have to the run up to your day.
   

1. How is Karla an environmentally friendly photographer?
   

2. As well as a natural wedding photographer Karla is also the founder of Green Focus - an environmentally friendly photography company. Using only file transfer or ecological bamboo USB sticks, Karla ensures that the service she provides is an ecological photography service throughout your booking.

6. There are formal shots I would like to have - Will the photographer do these?
   

7. Karla will photograph the Bride and Groom alone together for a maximum of 20 minutes and will provide a foot operated photobooth for all your family and guests. There will be no formal, static group shots taken on the day.
   

1. What if I really want a couple of family shots - to please my family?
   

2. Karla would recommend asking a friend to conduct them. These formal, static shots require little skill and can be easily be photographed by anyone with a camera. As you’d be hiring Karla for her specific documentary style, it would be a shame to have half an hour of opportunities missed.
   

1. Will the Photographer expect food and drink?
   

2. No, Karla will not expect food or drink at your Wedding Day. If you would like to offer Karla either of these, than she will enjoy them after her work has finished or while the sit down meal is taking place, but it is not a requirement of the booking.
   

1. Will the Photographer take photos whilst guests are eating?
   

2. Karla will take candid images of your guests taking their places and enjoying each others company, plus the serving of the food. However, when the guests are actually eating, Karla will take the moment to photograph details or have a bite of a snack.
   

1. What is this Photobooth?
   

2. It is a foot-operated camera and studio flash combo to capture fun images of your guests and family - Whenever they want! There will be a bag of props for them to play with too: masks, frame, wigs etc There is an unlimited amount of images taken and ALL will be given to you on a bamboo USB stick as high resolution files. These images will not be edited or adjusted but will be high quality fun snaps! The images will contain the Photoperspective website at the base but will not interfere with the image.
   

1. Will the Photographer have a lot of equipment?
   

2. Thankfully, reportage photography does not require heavy lighting or packs as the image is more about capturing a feeling and atmosphere rather than a duplicating a fashion shoot. The Photobooth will consist of a studio light with attached softbox plus a camera on a tripod. This will be positioned in a corner of the reception venue. All electrical wires will be taped securely plus any trip hazards highlighted.
   

1. What happens if the photographer causes an accident at any time?
   

2. In the unlikely event of Karla causing an accident due to her negligence, she is fully insured with Public Liability Insurance.
   

1. After the day
   

1. When should I expect the photos?
   

2. The link to the online gallery will be emailed to you two weeks after your wedding. The bamboo USB stick of chosen images will be posted to you within three days of confirmation, or upon clearance of payment due for additional images requested.
   

1. How does the online gallery work?
   

2. You will be emailed with the private link to your gallery. You can then forward this to everyone you wish to view your photos. The gallery will be viewable for 28 days.
   

1. How do you choose between Black and White and Colour?
   

2. Any images which Karla feels would look good in Black and White will be duplicated and altered. You may then decide if you prefer the B/W or colour version. If you choose a colour version but would like it in B/W then this conversion is free of charge. Please state this request at the time of confirmation.
